La tête d’Apollon de ce denier anonyme n’est pas sans rappeler celle des statères d’or de Philippe II de Macédoine. Il n’est pas impossible que ce type de denier, sans aucune référence à Rome ait été copié ou imité par les gaulois.

Lucius Cornelius Cinna and Caius Marius are consuls in 86 BC Marius is consul for the seventh time when he dies in January, replaced by Lucius Valerius Flaccus.
