Le Festival de Bayreuth (Bayreuther Festspiele) est un festival d'opéra fondé en 1876 par Richard Wagner et consacré à l'exécution de ses dix principaux opéras. Il se tient chaque été au palais des festivals (Festspielhaus) de Bayreuth, en Bavière, un théâtre conçu par Wagner pour pouvoir réaliser sa conception particulière de l'ouvrage lyrique comme « œuvre d'art totale ».(c.f.Wikipédia).
