Exemplaire sur un flan large, ovale et irrégulier, bien centré des deux côtés. Très beau portrait. Frappe un peu molle au revers. Jolie patine grise avec des reflets mordorés. Conserve une partie de son brillant de frappe

Caesar
Salonin was raised to the cesarat after the death of his brother, Valérien II. Sent to Gaul, under the protection of Postumus then simple general, he was proclaimed august after the capture of Valerian I in June or July 260. Postumus, proclaimed august in his turn, besieged Salonin and had him put to death.
