Ce type est frappé suite à la loi du 6 janvier 1896. La pièce est fabriquée entre 1896 et 1926 dans le cadre de l'Union Latine, puis jusqu'à 1935. Enfin des pièces furent encore frappées en 1947 et 1949 à titre boursier. 1926 est le dernier millésime et c'est le plus rare de la série. Plus de 10 millions de pièces au total furent mises en circulation et ne sont toujours pas démonétisées.
This type was struck following the law of January 6, 1896. The coin was produced between 1896 and 1926 as part of the Latin Union, then until 1935. Finally, coins were still struck in 1947 and 1949 for stock market purposes. 1926 is the last vintage and it is the rarest of the series. More than 10 million coins in total were put into circulation and have still not been demonetized.
