Cet exemplaire est un projet intermédiaire entre la pré-série sans le mot essai reconnaissable par les traits du gouvernail coupés aux lettres et le type définitif où les traits vont presque jusqu’au listel. Sur cet exemplaire, la longueur des traits est intermédiaire puisqu’ils dépassent les lettres sans pour autant aller presque jusqu’au listel. Ce projet est inédit, unique à notre connaissance, et nous n’avons pu en trouver aucune référence publiée.

SAAR TERRITORIES
(1947-1956)
Buffer zone between France and Germany, the territory of the Saar was fortified by Louis XIV and formed a French department between 1795 and 1814 before returning to Prussia and then to the Reich. The region developed especially after 1871 with the exploitation of coal mines. In 1945, the Saar was included in the French occupation zone and provided in 1947 with a government. By various agreements from 1955 to 1959, the Saarland was returned to Germany concurrently with the Franco-German rapprochement..
