Комментарий

La variété dite VICO vient les ornements du carré perlé du revers ; les lettres V, I, C et O y sont interprétée. Il est à noter que cet exemplaire présente un annelet qui n’est pas pointé (en guise de O).
Cet exemplaire semble présenter une tête particulière pour ce revers ; l'œil semble y être marqué alors que ce n’est habituellement pas le cas (?).
T. Abramson regroupe ces monnaies sous la “Frankener variété B”, en référence à la trouvaille de 360 monnaies de ce type à Leeuwarden (GB) publiée en 1870 par J. Dirks.
The so-called VICO variety comes from the ornaments of the pearl square on the reverse; the letters V, I, C and O are interpreted there. It is worth noting that this example has an annulet that is not pointed (as an O). This example seems to have a particular head for this reverse; the eye seems to be marked there whereas this is not usually the case (?). T.
