Très bel exemplaire, complet et homogène. Le droit est idéalement centré avec une très belle tête. Le revers est un tout petit peu plus mou. Agréable patine homogène et brillante, de collection ancienne, avec une petites zone plus sombre vers 8 heures au revers

Ce statère provient d’une collection de monnaies armoricaines ; il est référencé dans les Actes du Colloque de Brest, RT SENA n° 6, p. 59, n° 12 (frappé avec les coins D10 - R11 de l’étude)

Ce type précis correspond au DT. 2205 au personnage couché. P. Abollivier regroupe ces monnaies avec le revers orienté à droite en Variante 8 du type au personnage recroquevillé. Selon ce dernier, “six exemplaires ont été analysés dont quatre sont en or allié faible titre et deux en billon aurifère”. Le poids moyen des ces six exemplaires est de 6,70 grammes (de 5,98 à 6,99 g). Ce type précis manque à presque toutes les collections publiques publiées, sauf celle de Rennes.
Cet exemplaire a la particularité d’avoir une croix avec le centre et les bras bouletés, devant l’androcéphale. Cette variante n’est pas distinguée par P. Abollivier.
This specific type corresponds to DT. 2205 with the reclining figure. P. Abollivier groups these coins with the reverse facing right into Variant 8 of the type with the curled-up figure. According to the latter, “six examples were analyzed, four of which are in low-grade alloyed gold and two in gold-bearing billon.” The average weight of these six examples is 6.70 grams (from 5.98 to 6.99 g). This specific type is missing from almost all published public collections, except that of Rennes. This example has the particularity of having a cross with the center and arms rounded, in front of the androcephalus. This variant is not distinguished by P. Abollivier
