Exemplaire sur un flan large et régulier, bien centré avec les grènetis complets. Très beau portrait. Frappe un peu molle au revers. Recouvert d’une fine patine grise avec des reflets dorés. Conserve au droit son brillant de frappe et une partie de son coupant d’origine

Augustus
Gordian III is the grandson of Gordian I and the nephew of Gordian II, ephemeral emperors of the year 238. At the request of the people of Rome, he is chosen as Caesar by Balbin and Pupian and succeeds them after their assassinations.
