Albert Edward, prince de Galles est le futur Edward VII est né le 9 novembre 1841 à Londres au palais de Buckingham et mort le 6 mai 1910 au même endroit. Il fut roi du Royaume-Uni et des dominions (Canada, Australie, Nouvelle-Zélande, Terre-Neuve) ainsi qu'empereur des Indes du 22 janvier 1901 jusqu'à sa mort.
Albert Edward, Prince of Wales, the future Edward VII, was born on 9 November 1841 in London at Buckingham Palace and died on 6 May 1910 in the same place. He was King of the United Kingdom and the Dominions (Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Newfoundland) as well as Emperor of India from 22 January 1901 until his death.

GREAT-BRITAIN - VICTORIA

Victoria (1819-1901) was the daughter of Edward, Duke of Kent, and granddaughter of George III. She succeeded her uncle Guillaume IV in 1837 and married her cousin Albert, Prince of Saxe-Coburg in 1840, against her mother's advice. She had nine children by him but became a widow in 1861. While respecting the rules of the parliamentary system, she tried to impose her views in the field of foreign affairs. Her favourite, Disraeli, had her given the title of Empress of India in 1876. Respected and loved, active and authoritarian, Victoria appeared in her time as the symbol of imperialist England. His reign marks the height of British power.
