Très belle monnaie, de frappe vigoureuse et centrée, sur un flan relativement large bien qu’un peu irrégulier. Avers et revers homogènes, avec une superbe patine sombre et brillante

Реверс: Описание: Carré perlé, avec un annelet au centre, accosté des pseudo-lettres V, I et C (trois globules dans le champ).

Комментарий

La variété dite VICO vient les ornements du carré perlé du revers ; les lettres V, I, C et O y sont interprétées. Il est à noter que cet exemplaire présente un annelet qui n’est pas pointé (en guise de O).
Cet exemplaire a un revers comparable aux n° 197 et 198 d’Oxford. Pour ce qui concerne l’avers, notre exemplaire associé aux monnaies bmv_229386 et bmv_229387 de MONETAE I et au n° 651 de Cambridge permettent de proposer une légende devant le visage (?).
The so-called VICO variety comes from the ornaments of the pearl square on the reverse; the letters V, I, C and O are interpreted there. It should be noted that this example has an annulet that is not pointed (as an O). This example has a reverse comparable to Oxford nos. 197 and 198. As for the obverse, our example associated with coins bmv_229386 and bmv_229387 of MONETAE I and Cambridge no. 651 allow us to propose a legend in front of the face (?)
