Ce spécialiste semble avoir fabriqué des mécaniques de magie et de prestidigitation. On trouve un article intéressant dans l'Illustration du 29 août 1863 :
Il y a vingt ans à peine, la fabrication des instruments de physique amusante était encore dans l'enfance ; peu nombreux, grossièrement faits, les appareils se vendaient fort cher. Un prestidigitateur aussi habile que mécanicien-ingénieur, M. Voisin, entreprit une réforme devenue nécessaire : il s'appliqua non seulement à inventer de nouveaux instruments (et il en a inventé un grand nombre), mais encore à perfectionner ceux qui existaient et à les rendre accessibles à tout le monde, grâce au bon marché. Ces résultats ont été pleinement acquis, ainsi que cela a été constaté à l'Exposition universelle de 1855 et dans mainte circonstance; aussi de nombreuses médailles sont venues récompenser M. Voisin de ses constants efforts a produire beaucoup, bien et à bon marché.
Aujourd'hui, la fabrication des instruments de physique amusante est devenue une industrie occupant de nombreux ouvriers, sous la direction de M. Voisin, qui a concentré, presque tout entier entre ses mains, ce commerce dont tous les pays sont tributaires. En effet, les prestidigitateurs qui parcourent la France et l'étranger, aussi bien que les nombreux amateurs qui possèdent des cabinets de physique amusante, n'ont pas d'autre fournisseur, car ils savent qu'on trouve dans ses magasins tout ce qui existe en fait d'appareils, depuis les plus simples jusqu'aux plus compliqués, et tous d'une exécution parfaite ; et que, de plus, M. Voisin ne laisse passer aucune invention sans en tirer parti au profit de son industrie : application nouvelle de l'électricité, apparition de spectres, etc., tout concourt entre ses mains à l'amusement du public, M. Voisin enseigne l'usage de toutes les pièces mécaniques qui sortent de ses ateliers.

This specialist seems to have made magic and sleight of hand mechanisms.. There is an interesting article in the Illustration of August 29, 1863: Barely twenty years ago, the manufacture of instruments for amusing physics was still in its infancy; few in number, crudely made, the devices sold for a high price.. A magician as skilled as a mechanic-engineer, M. Voisin, undertook a reform that had become necessary: he applied himself not only to inventing new instruments (and he invented a large number), but also to perfecting those that existed and making them accessible to everyone, thanks to the low cost. These results were fully achieved, as was noted at the Universal Exhibition of 1855 and in many circumstances; also numerous medals were awarded to M.. Neighbor of his constant efforts to produce a lot, well and cheaply.
Today, the manufacture of amusing physics instruments has become an industry employing many workers, under the direction of M. Neighbor, who has concentrated, almost entirely in his hands, this trade on which all countries are dependent. Indeed, the magicians who travel throughout France and abroad, as well as the many amateurs who own amusing physics cabinets, have no other supplier, because they know that one can find in his stores everything that exists in terms of apparatus, from the simplest to the most complicated, and all of perfect execution; and that, moreover, M. Voisin does not let any invention pass without taking advantage of it for the benefit of his industry: new application of electricity, appearance of specters, etc.. , everything in his hands contributes to the amusement of the public, M. Voisin teaches the use of all the mechanical parts that come out of his workshops.
