La médaille est conservée dans un écrin noir sur lequel figure le nom du fabricant (que l’on retrouve sur la tranche) : Carl Poellath, Schrobenhausen O. B.
L’entreprise Farbwerke vorm Meister, Lucius et Brüning était spécialisée dans la fabrication des couleurs. Elle a fusionné en 1999 avec Poulenc SA, puis en 2004 avec Sanofi-Synthélabo pour formier Sanofi-Aventis.
