Monnaie fourrée. Pour ce type, M. Crawford a relevé une estimation de 30 coins de droit et de 33 coins de revers. Ce n’est que la seconde fois que nous présentons ce type. La première fois, la monnaie était également fourrée.

BRUTUS

(85-42 BC)

Brutus first chooses Pompey against Caesar. After Pharsalus (48 BC), the dictator forgives and adopts Brutus. This plots against Caesar and participates in his assassination on the Ides of March (March 15, 44 BC). He then retired to Macedonia. Having gathered his troops with those of Cassius, he confronts Marc Antoine and Octave at Philippi in 42 BC. Defeated, he commits suicide.
