On peut penser que la série des Turin en cupro-nickel a été envisagée après-guerre avec une déclinaison en 5, 10 et 20 francs, seule la faciale de 10 étant finalement fabriquée. Cet essai, qui n’est pas magnétique, n’apparaît dans aucune référence. Un exemplaire semblable a cependant été vendu dans MONNAIES VI, Collection Kolsky, n° 3071.
It is likely that the Turin series in cupro-nickel was considered after the war with a variation in 5, 10 and 20 francs, only the 10 face being finally produced. The Provisional Government of the French Republic (GPRF) is the name given to the French Committee for National Liberation (CFLN) led by General de Gaulle since June 1944 and in anticipation of the Allied landings. Recognized by the United States, little by little, the Provisional Government of the French Republic saw its authority extend to the liberated regions. This government was installed in Paris on August 31, 1944 and was reorganized in September to allow the entry of personalities from the internal resistance. This government remained in office until January 16, 1947, the date of the election of Vincent Auriol as President of the Fourth Republic.
