HOLLAND - COUNTY OF HOLLAND - WILLIAM VI OF BAVARIA

(1404-1417)

William VI of Bavaria (1365-1417) is the son of Albert of Bavaria and Marguerite de Brieg. He succeeded his father in 1404 and was also Count of Hainaut. He is the father of Jacqueline of Bavaria (1401-1436) who will succeed him in 1417. He could not prevent the growing influence of Flanders in the region.
