Exemplaire sur un petit flan ovale et épais, bien centré, un peu court sur la légende au droit. Joli portrait de Justinien Ier. Revers un peu brouillé avec une faiblesse de frappe sur la marque d’atelier. Joli patine vert olive clair, légèrement granuleuse

Justinian succeeded his uncle Justin in 527 after a co-regency from April 4 to August 1, 527. He reigned with Empress Theodora. The construction of Hagia Sophia was completed under his reign, which marks the height of the Byzantine conquests.
