Exemplaire sur un flan bien centré des deux côtés. Droit et revers légèrement stylisés. Belle patine de collection ancienne avec des reflets mordorés

Комментарий

Au droit, il s’agit plutôt d’une patère que d’un monogramme ou d’un thêta comme le décrivait bien J. Hirsch en 1920 pour le catalogue de la collection Pozzi. Masque saisissant de la Méduse au revers. Peut-être une imitation ?.

Parium, located by the sea on the Propontis, at the mouth of the Hellespont between Lampsaque and Priapos, was an important and flourishing port. The city was founded in 710 BC and experienced its greatest period of development in the 4th century BC.
