Il s’agit de la société des Filatures, Corderies et Tissages d'Angers, les établissements Bessonneau, dirigés par Julien Bessonneau, industriel angevin.
En 1917, l'usine s'étend avec l'acquisition de la fabrique de câbles métalliques de la Commission des Ardoisières, menant à la création de la S.A. des Câbleries et Tréfileries d'Angers.
En 1916, lorsque Julien Bessonneau père (1842-1916), se tue accidentellement, l'empire industriel familial passe en succession à son fils Julien Bessonneau.
Julien Bessonneau fils (1880-1960) fait prospérer l'entreprise familiale.
Julien Bessoneau fondera la S.A. d'Applications Industrielles du Bois en 1917, dirigée par la fabricant de meubles parisien Noël.
En août 1918, une société en nom collectif, Anjou-Aéronautique, sera créée entre Julien Bessonneau fils, l'industriel Marcel Dassault, l'ingénieur Henry Potez, et le fabricant parisien de papier-peint René Lévy-Finger.
En 1920, l'établissement Bessonneau emploiera jusqu'à 10 000 ouvriers. Mais la gestion hasardeuse de Julien Bessonneau entamera la prospérité de l'entreprise. Il démissionnera en 1921. (cf. Numistoria).
This is the Angers Spinning, Cording and Weaving Company, the Bessonneau establishments, managed by Julien Bessonneau, an Angers industrialist. In 1917, the factory expanded with the acquisition of the metal cable factory of the Commission des Ardoisières, leading to the creation of the SA des Câbleries et Tréfileries d'Angers. In 1916, when Julien Bessonneau senior (1842-1916) was accidentally killed, the family industrial empire passed to his son Julien Bessonneau. Julien Bessonneau junior (1880-1960) made the family business prosper. Julien Bessoneau founded the SA d'Applications Industrielles du Bois in 1917, managed by the Parisian furniture manufacturer Noël. In August 1918, a general partnership, Anjou-Aéronautique, was created between Julien Bessonneau Jr., industrialist Marcel Dassault, engineer Henry Potez, and Parisian wallpaper manufacturer René Lévy-Finger. By 1920, the Bessonneau establishment would employ up to 10,000 workers. But Julien Bessonneau's haphazard management would undermine the company's prosperity. He resigned in 1921. (see Numistoria)
